If you have any questions about our policies, please don’t hesitate to call us directly at 970.453.0821 or email us your inquiry.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Walk-in clients are discouraged and may not be able to be seen right away.
Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available. A ‘drop off’ means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.
After Hours Emergencies
The Breckenridge Animal Hospital is part of the Summit County Emergency Group. This is a local co-op consisting of four of Summit County’s veterinarians who have established an on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies. This allows for consistent emergency coverage in the area 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you have an after-hours emergency, please call our normal office phone at 970.453.0821. You will be given the information for the veterinarian on-call for that day.
For emergencies, call 970.453.0821 immediately.
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

So that we may continue to provide you with the highest quality vet care with the best in veterinary technology, we do require full payment at the time that services are rendered. If you are in a difficult financial situation and may not be able to pay for all of your pet’s medical needs, please talk with our team members during your visit. We will do everything we can to work with you provide your pet the medical care they need.
