Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services | Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services | Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic procedures such asTPLO and TTA procedures for ACL (CCR) repair.

Anesthesia | We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Internal medicine consults | We offer standard ultrasounds and have an ultrasound specialist doctor that consults at our clinic on Fridays (Dr. Leila Worth)

Radiology Services | Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We recently added a new, state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine, giving us the best quality x-rays and ease of file transfer & storage.

Electrocardiography Services | We provide ECG services on-site.

Laboratory | Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent Identification | We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets. We are competitive with any online pharmacy and will meet or beat any prescription cost you can find online.

Dietary Counseling | We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling | We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Our Success Stories - Col Kerr

Col is a male golden retriever owned by Leanna Kerr of Breckenridge. Col had his ACL repaired at the BAC by Dr. Ed in 2009.

Col handled the long recovery like a champ and today he enjoys an active life, hiking, chasing balls at the dog park and looking after the newest member of the Kerr family, baby Logan.

At the Breckenridge Animal Clinic, we are focused on preventative care and encourage regular annual exams to help catch any health issues before they become serious problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best.

At this time we are small animal practice only. This means we do not provide services for large animals (such as horses or cows). We can treat common ailments in exotic pets such as ferrets, rabbits, turtles, birds and snakes, however we do refer out more serious treatments in these animals to our specialty partner clinics.

We provide a full scope of elective surgery, orthopedic surgery (including TTA and TPLO procedures) and emergency services at our location.

Veterinary Services

Acupuncture | Dr. Murphy is a trained veterinary acupuncturist, and specializes in this proven method of natural healing for your pet.

Chiropractic | Dr. Ed is trained in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation using the activator technique. Ask for more information about animal chiropractics on your next visit.

Dentistry | Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. We recently added a dedicated dentistry room allowing us to expand our dentistry services, as well as a top-line digital dental X-ray machine.

Orthopedic Surgery | Our doctors are some of the only veterinarians practicing full time in Summit County who can perform a variety of advanced orthopedic procedures, including TPLO, TTA and MRIT procedures for repair of ACL (knee) injuries.
